Дата проведения: 22-23 января. Ведущий конкурса: Плотникова Наталья Ивановна, сотрудник кафедры иностранных языков ЦДО "Эйдос"

Плотникова: нужно ли отправлять работы учеников на электронный адрес проекта, как обычно делается в конкурсах и олимпиадах, или достачно опубликовать на форуме? Айгуль Мизхатовна, локальный координатор Здравствуйте, Айгуль Мизхатовна! Ответы на конкурсные задания публикуются на форуме и там же обсуждаются. Если ваш рабочий язык - английский, а конкурсант представил ответ на немецком (французском) языке, однако вы поняли его содержание, можно обсудить его и на русском языке. Габбасова Элина: I am fond of English language a lot, It has popularity in the world. And when I hear about it I recollect about the most great thing. It is very big and tall, And people become near it so small, It can be called the symbol of all. It strikes each hour every day, We like to hear it with great gay. I enjoy learning English. When I hear about it I imagine Big Ben. For me it is a symbol of English ,because it is so big as English language and it symbolizes time of my life when I began learning this beautiful and usefull language. Moreover, I think everyone knows about Big Ben. It is a symbol of London, London is a symbol of Britain,Britain is a birthplace of English.

The eagle is aiming, allegorically to freedom, conquering the heavens. The eagle means speed, good reaction, smartness etc. However,, that symbol might assist you in crerating your own symbol of mastering English. May be the eagle can be included into your symbol, bein a part of it?
Maria Chernizova: Hello! My name is Maria. I want to tell you how I imagine English symbol. For me it is the Earth. We live on the Earth and many people all over the world speak English. English is the third most spoken native language world-wide after Chinese and Hindi with some 380 million speakers. There are some countries too, where English is the major language. Besides English is often spoken at international conferences and seminars. Some British think that English spoken in the world by people of other nationalities is not real English. It’s global English. About 20% of the world’s population speak English. Doctors and scientists try to answer the same questions all over planet. They find it easy to exchange their ideas in English. People from different parts of the country often do not speak each other’s language. English is the only solution to their communication problems. English is the language of politicians. Most international journalists have to know English, too. So English is the language of rock and pop music. Most of world know singers sing their songs in English. Besides US and British companies produce thousands of films, videos and TV programmes every year. They are shown all over the world with subtitles and dubbing. English language unites people of different nationalities. So I think that the Earth is a symbol of the English language. Good luck!
