I have read all your letters and I see we have much in common. I am fond of psychology and I can tell you much about Siberia you are interested in.
Анищенко Наташа: Good afternoon! I’m very glad to have an opportunity to talk to such interesting people in English. I’m Natalia. Now I’m in the 11th form and I’m 17 years old. I live in a small town Asino, which is situated in Siberia, in the geographical center of our country, in Tomsk region. My main activity is learning, and it takes the most part of my time. I learn excellently. Recently I have been interested in taking part in this contest. “Certainly it is wonderful to write a letter to a living foreigner” – I thought. Now I want to tell you about my hobbies. When I was a little girl I was keen on dancing, but I had no any success. Then my parents bring me to the artistic school, which I finished a year ago with an excellent diploma. Nowadays I draw not very often, but when I have an inspiration and time I make a beautiful thing. It’s very pleasant to present somebody with my painting, to see how smile appears on the face. Also I like to make bracelets. It takes much time and patience, but result justifies my work. Another passion is artistic photography. I cannot say I’m amateur or professional but they said it is beautiful. It’s very pleasant to hear it. I’d like to chat with interesting participants, I can say that communication with wonderful people helps and makes me feel happy.

My favorite piece from school textbooks - "Hero of Our Time of Lermontov. And what is your favourite piece of literature from the school?

golovan evgeniy: I would like to tell you a lot about myself. I love to travel. Last year I traveled to Ukraine. I went to my relatives. In 2012 we are going there again. I was born in Sayanogorsk, in fact I live there. I am very fond of my native land, because there are so pure, fresh air, and runs clear Yenisei River, despite an accident last year. I very love to play online games such as wow and Counter. I like very much to correspond to the Internet chat. I'm not bad cycling and rollerblading. I would compare myself with Belgeec because I hope that in the distant future I will own corporation. I always spend time with friends; I love to play football with them. Also I have another dream to play for Russia Team. I'm waiting for victory, or participation in this championship.
CHESSTER: If you don't mind I would like to continue to write my vizit card My Motto is: Heaven never helps the people who do nothing!!! I- imaginative L- lazy a little bit Y- yearning to freedom A- adeqate (I hope) So I am usual Risssian teen. I dream and compose, study and delve, hate and love, seek and find, participate and win (sometimes) I can be calm and serious, kind and cruel, fiery and culled. Of course I believe in real frienfship and hope I have such a friend. I can’t say about friendship better than V/V/Vysotsky If your friend just became a man, Not a friend, not a foe,-- just so, If you really can't tell from the start, If he's strong in his heart, -- To the peaks take this man -- don't fret! Do not leave him alone, on his own, Let him share the same view with you-- Then you'll know if he's true. If the guy didn't whine nor pine, He was dull and upset, but went, When you slipped from the cliff, He heaved, holding you in his grip; If he walked right along, seemed strong, On the top stood like he belonged, -- Then, whenever the chances are slim You can count on him! What else? I am trying to get fundamental knowledge, in order to stand on my own feet in society. I can’t say that I have a great desire to win and to be the best. But I want to meet new friends here, especially foreign friends. Though it will be great to begin a new project among two classes from different towns, for example, we are interested in Siberia very much. Who can propose such a project? We could do it even without our teachers. More than that-we can think over a competition for our teachers!!! It will be cool I like the saying: “Impossible”- it is not a fact, it is a point of view!” So Everything in our hands! And let the best men win. I wish you Good Luck!

CHESSTER: Thank you, Rita! You are very creative too, I like your avatar. Is it a photo or a picture? Very oryginal I collect different sayings and proverbs. This is one of my favourite "We consider the situation to be desperate, because we don't like the way out." What do you think about it?
Nikiforova Rita: It is my own photo, thanks a lot )) I like this saying too, because sometimes people do not completely realize the things they did wrong! And then try to justify itself and their mistakes, so they choose the wrong way of escaping from this situation.

СимагаеваАнна: Ashley Nicole Dorey She lives in the United State city of Rogers/I met her in my first day in school, she was smiling at me, and she sit with me in a bus on our way home/She is a senior in a high school just like me. She likes sports, we use to play volley ball together or walking on a long distance in the evening. I want to write to her because I miss her a lot/we had so much fun together During the summer break. I want to tell her about my town in Russia, because she wants to visit me, so also I want tell her how do I live here, about my school and my new friends. I have some questions for her as well I want to know where she will go to college. How are my another friends, we use to hand out together. Then I know for sure that she will tell me about her boy friend or what ever he is. I can’t wait to write to her. I think she will be so happy to receive my letter. A cute Icelandic fairy that made the world go mad. Soft voice that echoed in the hearts of millions of people. A wild rebellious child who rebels mostly against the dullness and dead silence of everyday life. You know, she can teach you to see the beauty around you. But this beauty is so unconventional! Oh, if you hold on to what’s called traditional, you are likely to be shocked. You’ll just tell she’s crazy and…. Well it’s your choice. But you’d better wait and listen and look for some time! Cause it’s like when you see the sun after being in the darkness for a long time. Naturally, the first thing you want to do is close your eyes. But only a bit later you find it better to be in the light. Well who is she? It’s Bjork, a famous Icelandic singer. Have you ever heard of her? She breaks all the rules and declares independence! She makes you feel that all is full of love, and well, she seems to be an earth intruder, cause she sounds so out-of-this-world! She comes from Iceland. Iceland is a very small country but with a “hot” temper. Geysers and volcanoes and the beauty of mountain lakes and rivers... I guess Bjork has got this and volcanoes of creativity in her heart. The charming beauty of the Icelandic nature is all in her songs. I like Bjork’s music very much, and I would be happy to know her as a personality. That’s why I want to write a letter to her. I wonder what is she like? Is she as crazy and incredible in everyday life, or is she a calm person? She’s so mysterious. I’d like to ask her about what inspires her most. I’d like to ask her how she manages to concentrate such a great variety of images, features of character and creative ideas. If I ever get a reply from her I’ll be on the happiest person in the world.

Тезикова Светлана: Moiseeva Oksana I listen to different music, but mostly rock the 80's. It's Hammerfall, Deep Purple, Scorpions and other. I think this is fascinating! And what do you prefer?
Вакулюк Юлия: There are stars not only in the sky but amogst us, too. Without a doubt, everyone has his favourite celebrity. Most of stars don’t like when their fans are nosy, but Simon Pegg is not like them! He has his page in twitter, where he writes short notes about everyday life… Despite they say that curiosity killed a cat I would write to Simon to know more about his temper, life, hobby, interests and plans for the future… To start with, Simon Pegg is famous English actor, writer, producer and comedian. His full name is Simon John Beckingham. He was born in Brockworth, Gloucestershire, England. I’m not really sure, where he lives now, because nowadays almost any day of the week you can read only lie about our idols… But anyway, I guess that he is still in London. I nearly forgot to praise to the skies my idol He is best known for his starring roles in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Run Fatboy Run, the comedy series Spaced. In “Spaced”, as Simon says, he plays his self, therefore comparing Pegg with the main character Tim; I can say that he is reckless, witty and cheerful just as I. It’s not a secret that Pegg was nominated for a British Comedy Award as Best Male Comedy Newcomer. Moreover “Spaced” helped me to improve my English listening skills. I suppose that we will see eye to eye, because we are both interested in cinema and literature, and also we like the same things: his favourite film is Raising Arizona and his favourite show is The X-Files… And of course I love the films where he is starring because most of them were made “to be chewed and digested”… I will be happy to correspond with him, to talk about films… I’m sure we will speak the same language! To cut a long story short, I’d like to say that I love Simon Pegg’s works, because they always help me to keep my chin up!
Sennikova Nastya: Lady Gaga is my idol! I love her because she is so fantastic. She is alive, strange and eccentric. That is why I like her as well as millions of people all over the world. She’s too fabulous, poisonous, with thorns like a red rose. She’s always in the centre of attention, ready for flashing lights of paparazzi. She’s always on the covers of magazines, isn’t it everyone dreams? Yes, she’s half psychotic, sick, hypnotic, but lovely and charming the same time. She has her own style and may be she’s from other planet but I really think she’s talented and clever person even if she wears poker face. We will never read her mind and that’s the best thing I like about her. That makes her a real woman! And what is yours?

Moiseeva Oksana: Hi, dear friends! I can not answer the question definitely with what kind of person I want to talk. I think it is absolutely unimportant in what country a person lives, whether it's a girl or a guy, what her or his interests are. The main thing is that the person is sociable, and able to support any subject, and not shy. I think two people from different countries have a lot to discuss. I’d ask him about the customs and traditions, the climate and the history of the state. There are so many topics...The thought to talk with a real foreigner makes me excited! Of course, I will tell him about myself, about my beloved native land -Siberia, about my interests, and hobbies. I can keep up the conversation, because I am a sociable person. In short, I'm looking forward to writing a letter to an unknown foreigner, and, of course, I have a great desire to get an answer! Thank you.

Anna-9: Who am I? I am a mysterious person, which isn't able to reply to provocative frank question. On the one hand I have eyes, nose, hands and so on, as any another human, on the other hand any Homo sapiens can boast of it with clear conscience. Evidently, I study school's programme when it's necessary and I absorb something when it's coincide with my plans for my future. Some persons consider, that I am a painter. Another persons consider that I like to crochet hats. And I know people, who think that I am a " fan of English". I don't make protest just as you like! It's useful! If it suits you, I am ready for this competition. You must not know the truth about me. May be I like sport less or more. But I like discussions about more or less abstract subject. I listen to oppositions' opinions. Sometimes it is very interesting. Can I sacrifice myself? I don't know, because I didn't try. Do I like myself? Why? Yes, of course. But it's inexplicable love. I loved myself at the moment when I set eyes on me in a mirror. I hope you feel such magic and quivering senses to your reflection. But in real life we differ greatly from those in the mirror. Of course, everyone wants to be sole and inimitable, but, as a rule, everyone wants to be useful for society, too.
