polinka: Hi! My name is Polina. I'm 14. I'm from Shelekhov, Irkutsk Region. I always think, why is English the most popular language. I don't consider that English is the easiest among different languages. As for me, English is very interesting! What's about you?
Helen16: I can agree with you English language is very popular in the world and it is an interesting language to study. You can find here works of literature written by famous American and English writers. You can find out a lot of information concerning traditions and cultural peculiarities of other countries. I can learn a lot about native speakers and their style of life.
Luda: English is increasingly becoming the language of international communication. More than 350 million people all over the world speak English. Still more are learning it. What is the reason of such great desire to know this language among people of different nations? England had many colonies all over the world (in Australia, Canada, U.S.A., even Africa). Many English people migrated there. English became an official language in many countries, which later got independence. But English remains an official language in most of them even until now.
don Leone: English is not only the language of international communication, but it's also a internatinal trade language. And besides, what is the world currency. It's still dollar, ain't it? And also I noticed that English language has some unexplicable attractivness that makes English authors' products more likeable and umm... attractive, would it be a book, a film or music... kosinskya ann: Can you imagine such a picture: you’re sitting and making up a poem in English or writing a silly fairy tale? I’m sure that each of you’ll say something like: “Are you crazy?! I won’t do it willingly!” But when you start doing tasks at this competition you understand that it wasn’t all for nothing. All what you do here absolutely differs from your usual English lessons. You usually do something like reading, writing, learning by heart, and sometimes it’s so boring! But in this unusual competition you must forget all serious rules. The main thing here is your own imagination and fresh ideas. There are different tasks: for example, to translate English poem in the way a poet does it or you must write a song in English to congratulate your friend. The tasks cover all possible ways of using English. At first look this competition is like a game, may be … But if you get good results it will help you in your further life. You receive a beautiful certificate, which can help you enter university. Success in this “game” is a very important thing for your future. All you need to take part in this competition is good imagination and an average level of English. So, good luck and remember that foreign languages are a way to your future!

I suppose that for the students with high level of english this competition is rather interesting way of spending time & other students could just improve the level of english by taking part in this competition.
