Viktoriya Timina: So, do we need to create a short story about ourselves at first?

LadaM: Hello Victoriya! Your presentation is brilliant and will have a success. In my opinion, you are a hard-working person because you participate in different contests and Olympiads. It’s great! I wonder, how you celebrate New Year and Christmas. I repeat it again that you will have a success in future! Lada.

Ñâèòîâà Ò. Â.: Viktoriya Timina ïèøåò: So, do we need to create a short story about ourselves at first? Yes, Viktoriya! Your first stories are in the vizit cards and in the task 1. And, of course, on that page

Viktoriya Timina: Thank you!! It's so pleasant to hear! I'm not pretty sure.. but did you take part in competition of writing letters? I remember that you was tating part too. Then, it's a pity, but my parents are always working on Christmas or New Year time. So, I"m celebrating it by myself or with friend. BUt now, I think, it's time to change some things. So, during the competition I want to create some kind of "plan" of Christmas Eve and try to make it true for my parents, as they do so much to me. And it should be so good, that they can feel the smell of Christmas, as I know, the celebration would not be on time.

Viktoriya Timina: Hello to everybody! How are you going? You know, we need to spend here a couple weeks, competing in creating a project of Christmas Eve. So, I think our first task is really great, because we can present ourselves and after that it would be much easier to understand each other. Guess it’s time to represent myself. I am Viktoriya from Cherepovets. I am sixteen years old and studying in the tenth grade. After the 11 grade I would have to go to university, and now I need to choose my future profession to get ready to pass the exams. Actually, I am fond of English and I am trying to take part in all English contests and Olympiads, which are available for me, because I thinks it’s really great and interesting, and it is much more interesting to win the prizes, so do I, and I can say that I’m always do everything I can, to make it successful. Design is also one of my interests. In my free time I enjoy making the models of the rooms and houses in different styles, searching and learn the information about the history of design an designers, creating my own accessories. English and Design are the two things which I can do all day long. And I guess that it would not be surprising for you to know that I want to connect my future profession either English or Design. As I have already said, I live in Cherepovets. This is city in the central Russia, in Vologda Region. The population is about 350.000. As you can see it’s not very big, but Cherepovets is known practically all over the world as in industrial city, where the biggest steel plant “Severstal” is situated. I think I am a very communicative person. The way of my life makes me to be ready to meet new people at every moment. And I really enjoy it. I can’t sit at home for a long time and get bored; anyway, it doesn’t happen to me, because I always have the things to do. To go on a concert, to prepare extra information or performance for a lesson, to hang out with the friends on the weekend, to help my parents – that’s not the full list of my “must do” duties. As we are orthodox Christians, we are celebrating Christmas at 7 of January and nowadays the tradition of celebrating Christmas in our country is not so widespread, as celebrating New Year for example. At a time, we can see that the Catholics from all over the world prefer the celebration of Christmas. So, studying English we can also bring some old traditions back again. I guess you know, that celebration of religious holidays was not a good idea during 20 century and all because the government. Finally, I want to wish good luck at the competition to all the participants. Let’s create our unbelievable and awesome Christmas Eve!!!

Vicky_M: How do you do, Victoria! My name's Victoria too. I'm from Voskresensk (this Moscow region). Could you answer my question: have you ever wished to become a techer of English?

Viktoriya Timina: Vicky_M, hello! How do you do? Firstly, I want to say, that when I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a teacher. Now I've got some thoughts about my future life and the goal I want to reach in my life, so there is a variant for me to become the teacher of English. NO w I'm really don't know whom I definitely want to become, but I've some time to think about that.

And how do you prefer to celebrate Christmas? Are theró any traditions in your family?

Viktoriya Timina: Vicky_M, the main tradition of celebration Christmas in our family is getting all together. I thinks it's very important for every family. As to me, I prefer celebrating Christmas in two main parts: the first - is the celebration with family as they are my nearest and dearest, the second is the celebration with the friends, because I love them too. And what about you? It's also very interested about the celebration during lesoons in school: do your pupils prepare something for them?

Vicky_M: I prefer to celebrate Christmas with my family too, because I think that this a family holiday. And besides it is a good chance to meet my parents and my husband's parents at the festive table one and the same time. As for school we celebrate this holiday, of course. You know that New Year for Russian people is the same as Christmas for British people, so the main celebration takes part before New Year. But inspite of this fact, pupils remember about the 25th of December and they try to decorate our part of school on Christmas Eve and bring something mysterious in our work on this day.

Vicky_M: Hello! My name's Victoria. I'm from Voskresensk. This is my first on-line project and I am very glad to take part in it.
