WAVE IN ENGLISH (начало)
Odinets: Каждый из вас видел на стадионе «волну», когда болельщики встают и передают свое движение другим людям. Предлагаем вам сделать такую волну на английском языке в веб-форуме Центра «Эйдос»! а) Напишите, какие задания данной олимпиады по английскому языку вы считаете интересными и полезными для себя и почему. Аргументируйте свою точку зрения. б) Познакомьтесь с точкой зрения других участников, задайте им не менее 2-3 вопросов по их выбору, дайте свой комментарий или суждение. Задание может быть выполнено как на английском, так и на русском языке.
Misha_G: «My 5 reasons» I usually participate in all competitions which tour teachers offer us, it happens seldom when I refuse participating. There were many reasons to participate in this Olympiad, but the main were my own interest , my wish , to learn something new, to try my skills in English, to see how other students work . I think that all tasks were useful enough. Most of all it was pleasant to me do the task about a penguin and about a meeting with the characters in a Wonderland; I didn't meet similar tasks in any other Olympiads and didn't carry out anything of the sort! Tasks from the Olympiad have caused a storm of positive emotions. It was pleasant for me to carry them out. I didn't feel difficulties. Thank you very much for such cool test! I'd like to know how other students liked the Pingu's wish cartoon. As for me it was great. I've never seen anything like that. Now it will be my favoirite cartoon. Now I address to those participants who took part in such olympiad for the firsr time. Would you like to do it again?
Олеся Степочкина: Yes! I was really enjoying doing such interesting tasks, especially for the first time. I think it is a great experience for everyone. So, if I had a chance, I would take part in this competition again without any doubts
Tayokami: Олеся Степочкина Мне все задания понравились. Очень веселые и необычные. Трудностей было довольно таки много, как раз потому что задания были такими необычными. Достаточно сложно было скажем,в третьем задании. Три раза переписывала, вроде последний удовлетворил, а когда стала переписывать на чистовик, вообще все по другому сделала!Смешное задание было 4-ое. Хоть и тоже сложное. А как ты с ними справилась? Какого результат ожидаешь?

Nastya Tikhomirova: Принимаю участие в этой олимпиаде уже 4 раз. Всегда радовал разнообразный тип заданий. Этот год не является исключением. Каждый человек найдет задание себе по душе. Лично мне сразу понравились первые два задания. Люблю задания, в который можно пофантазировать и подумать над ними. Сразу же показалось сложным 4 задание, хоть и интересным. Хотя эта олимпиада радует каждый год. Надеюсь участвую в ней не последний раз. Хочется спросить сколько раз вы принимали участие в этой олимпиаде? И почему вы решили принять в ней участие? В прошлой олимпиаде было интересное задание, где нужно было описать своего аватара. Это было очень необычно. Также каждый год бывают интересные задания, в которых нужно рисовать. Shurt: Лично я о результате не беспокоюсь. Я поставил цель ознакомиться с олимпиадой, получить удовольствие(если смогу...). Вопрос: А какой ты представляла олимпиаду пока не увидила задания?

Олеся Степочкина: Здравствуйте Все задания были довольно-таки оригинальны, в них была своя изюминка. По правде говоря, ранее с такими интересными заданиями встречаться в других олимпиадах не доводилось. Особенно интересным показалось задание, где нужно было, просмотрев отрывок мультфильма, написать реплики главных героев. Как мне кажется, это развивает фантазию и дает опыт использования английской речи. Также не оставило равнодушным и первое задание. Его выполнение развивает творческое мышление и не оставляет равнодушный ни одного человека, заинтересованного в изучении языка. Спасибо вам за такие идеи! Проводите олимпиады подобного типа чаще! Хотелось бы также узнать мнение других участников. Какие задания понравились больше всего? В чем были трудности при выполнении? Все ли нашли для себя что-то новое? Жду ответа!
ElvenAn: Олеся Степочкина, you see, it's difficult not to find something new here. I have never heard about such a funny cartoon before and now I want to watch other episodes. But some tasks weren't easy at all. The most complicated one was to make up my tongue twisters. It seemed, that my brains would be cooked soon! And what do you think about the fourth task? Was it interesting for you?

Я имею ввиду структурирование информации. Я постоянно терял свои сообщения! Не нравится схема ответов и цитирования! Приходится туда-сюда постоянно прыгать по странице, чтобы выхватить нужный кусок из текста, пока это делаешь, забываешь, что хотел написать. Вообщем, если делают задания такого типа, то это все должно быть подготовленно!
Tayokami: Hello! First task made me think why I learn English? Fairy, I’ve never thought about it. Now, I think, I start to understand it. I like to find out why high society in England in old times used some kinds of words, while the lower it had come up with its counterpart. Why the Saxons and the Goths have similar words with English people. From where this or that expression comes from . Search echoing with the mythology. And task 3 – really something unusual. I with my classmate laughed so hard that othe people in class asked us to stop. So many funny variations… And unfortunately that most of them did not pass the censorship. In general, the test is really wonderful! Incredibly creative tasks, they made the brain work. And they made me laugh! I haven’t laughed like that for a long time.
Himitsu: Добрый день :) Задания были интересны по-своему. Первое заставляло задуматься о причинах, что немаловажно. Второе подтолкнуло к изучению нового материала. И я просто в восторге от третьего задания! Никогда не встречала подобного на олимпиадах, это радует :) Четвертое было немного сложным для меня, но вскоре все стало понятно и легко ^_^ Задания оказались креативными и веселыми, даже не скажешь, что это была олимпиада. Мне бы хотелось узнать мнения остальных, будет интересно почитать
ElvenAn: Well, I usually participate in this competition and every year I find new incredible tasks. That's why I enjoy "Eidos" so much. I think the most unusual and interesting task was the "Pingu's Wish". I needed to switch on my fantasy and it was marvellous. To my mind it's a lovely cartoon, isn't it? Another wonderful contrivance was "Gamayun". I read about this creature in Russian poetry, but I didn't exactly know the meaning of this name. So I had a great opportunity to learn about it. Moreover, I enjoy making translations. And I felt so excited, creating new English words! What I love the most that this Olympiad is always unpredictable. Each time I make a leap into unknown. And each time I opt for doing it again. And what do you think about Eidos' chest of ideas?
Ксения Сабельникова: Well, I find Eidos Olympiad' chest of ideas very rich. Only creative people work there and that's reallu good. I think all of participants were enjoying this Olympiad. It's the first time I take part in such kinds of work. Well, I even have some offers of tasks to Eidos.

Ксения Сабельникова: I really consider this Olympiad is very interesting and creative. I find all tasks very useful. You don’t only practice in your English and translating, but also can do all your best in creativity sphere. To invent what penguins say was really nice, sometimes it seemed you heard some English words, but in general you invent all dialogs yourself. Well, besides, I think that the 4th task was rather difficult because I believe that our great and powerful language has some words which can’t be translated into other ones. If we do it part of Russian soul can be lost. And what do you consider?
ElvenAn: Ксения Сабельникова, you're absolutely right! In my opinion translator's work is exstremely difficult! They need to consider such factors as melodu of speech, culture and substance. So they should be great professionals. Am I right?
Ксения Сабельникова: Well, I think, you are. But what can professional translators do if they have the same task? People from other countries should understand and even feel the depth of our soul. Well, I think we tried and did all our bests. I hope we have good translating.
