Журлова И.В.: Hi, my name is Tonya, and I'm 15 years old. I'm a communicative person: I like big and noisy companies, meeting new people, going for walks and having a fun time. I like reading, but I used to hate this occupation and misunderstand people having this hobby. But now everything is changed. Another my hobby is music. I prefer Rammstein, Depeche Mode & U2. Just don't thing I'm crazy about rock music, I also listen R'n'B & Rap. I want to learn how to play drums, but....I still don't. I have a strong character, it appears in my behaviour and lifestyle. I'm a realistik person and take the life as it is, so it can't be in other way. For 3 years already a nice creature named Sonya has been living in my flat. It's a dog. It's red and has a fury tail and a nice muzzle. When looking into its eyes you can understand that it's the cleverest creature I've ever met. My family adores it. We also have Vitya, it's a jungarian hamster. It's very soft and has bead-liked eyes. It's as small as a qyarter of my hand. But it's difficult to tell everything. If U don't know a person closely you can't understand who he really is. So it's all. If U have any questions, ask me, and I'll give you answers.

Миша: Hi Dear Friend! My name is Mikhail. I am the 11th grade student and would like to tell you about myself, including some things that I want to achieve and dream about. Actually I’ve never thought that I would get a chance to write to someone living on the other side of the world. I don’t even know what country you live in, though it doesn’t really matter. I guess you don’t differ from me, probably you are a teenager as well and have your own troubles like quarrels with your parents and suffering from misunderstanding of peers. I would love to see how you look like. Also, I think you may go in for sports as well as I do and I hope that you read English Literature, ‘cause every person should know the history of his country and love its language. You might have heard about such great Russian writers as Alexander Pushkin and Mikhail Lermontov, who were the originators of the Golden Age of Russian poetry. Nowadays I study poetry of the Silver Age, I mean the successors of Alexander Pushkin. Especially I like Alexander Block. It would be great if you might tell me something about your favorite writers. Reflecting on literature, I was born in the end of the XXth century. This time is considered to be an epoch of new technologies and I believe that new discoveries strictly contradict the concept of structural completeness of the world. That what used to seem stable, turned out to be changeable and eternally movable. We were discussing technical progress in the class and decided that good rate of progress means not only moving forward, but brings change for the worse in ecology and tension in political situation with it . Laws of living were discovered long time ago (I mean the Ten Commandments of Jesus Christ), unfortunately people cannot and what is more don’t want to live in peace. I asked my friends what they would like to change in the future. Personally I want to invent a water engine, because there is so much water on the Earth; one of my classmates Pasha wants to invent an eternal coverage for roads. The others want to improve a medical care system. Olga and Liza would like to build an orphan asylum and develop charity in the world. Also, I think it would be nice to create such school subject as Family an Society Studies, ‘cause we have to teach people how to love one another and to be wise. Moreover, each school needs a good psychologist in order teachers might discover all kids’ talent, though I think I am quite lucky concerning this, as my teacher is looking for a sparkle of talent in each of us. And about Kaliningrad...if you never heard, it will be interesting for you to know that long time ago it was a German town which was found by the Tevton knights. And after having it's long histiry with lots of wars and achivments it finally was given to the USSR as a reparation after the Second World War. Today it's a beautiful town, which comparaise modern designed buildings, old german houses and ancient castles (not all they are kept in good terms to my pity)... The second character is Tyler Durden. He is an imaginary hero of the narrator. Tyler is a nihilist who despises narrow-minded arguments of people. He is associated with something rebellious. СCHESSTER: What can I say... There were 6 seasons of a film already , it is difficult to tell it in brief, but I will try... A film is about a talented and very clever doctor-diagnostician, who likes to speak truth in any situation that is why it is very difficult to be his friend. He is very kind, but doesn't like to show it. And he has a very original sense of humour. What is more- he plays the guitar and the piano... I can't say if he similar in life or not, but suppose not. He is a talanted actor and that's all... P.S May be I like this film becauese I am interested in psychology....

When I moved to the U.S I live in a Rogers, it's a small city in the Arkansas state. Which is somewhere in the South-West of the United States. I remember my first day in secondary school very well, I was afraid of every thing. Now I think it's funny, but back to the time I were there I didn't think so. Everything was different, the holl-ways, the parking-lot, even kids were not the same as in Russia. I still can't understand this girl...well we never spoke may be that’s why =) Well let's get back to my story. I was there with my parents standing in front of director's office. I tried to se some good in this situation, too bad I can't. My first impression was not so good...the director, I can't remember his name now, may be I was a bad student because every one in school knew his name) When he was standing in front of me smiling and being nice, I felt a little better. May be everyone going to be that way to me. He had a short conversation with my parents about school, the school bus and some other stuff with was not interesting for me. Then he gave me my schedule and walks me down the hall way to my class. I was a computer class. Kids were working on their computers and when I walked in the looked up… I felt dizzy. Then the women who were a teacher speak up, asked me to introduce my self and I felt better and better. When the class was over we went to the buss stop and went to the other school. I never saw a yellow school bus! Only on a TV. Everyone was nice to me. And the rest of the day didn’t have any problems at all. My next headache was a locker…I hate that little thing! Sometimes I can’t open it, I felt so angry! But the little metal box didn’t want to open at all! I were surprised by the library , it was huge! I love spend my lunch time down there because kids in school aloud to use the internet during the break, read a book, or use a laptops! I love that school! Also I found out that almost everyone were in some activities after the school, some play sport, some war in a school band, some were an artist or an actors. I decided to try out for volleyball team. And I did it! Awwww happy day! Since that time I was in school for another two hours everyday. I find a lot of friends in a volleyball team. And in every class I took were a lot of different people. They don’t have only one class like we use to have in Russia. I love Rogers I miss that time I spend there. I went to the high school there as well, and I play volleyball too. But in a High School we spend almost 3-4 hours on practice before the game. I’m really thankful for my parent to give me a chance to do all that. I will remember this time as a best time in my life! And I’m planning to continue to play a volleyball professionally, and I really want to tryout for your team .Also I’m planning to enter the Siberian state Medical University, but that’s not a reason to forget my favorite hobby. I live in a beautiful city named Tomsk. It’s in Siberia. I know a lot of people used to think that Siberia is only a forest, but it’s wrong. We have a population in my city around one million. We have a lot of schools and kinder gardens. We have a little bit different education program, if you have an Elementary, Secondary, Middle and High School, we have only one, all kids from the first to eleventh grade going there at the same time. We have a morning school, which starts at 8:00 a.m. and finishes afternoon. Then day school starts at 2 : 00 p.m. and ends around at 5.00 p.m. The younger kids visit some activities .It might be a dance, music school or sport group. The older children take part in extra classes, which help them to enter the university. I visited such classes as biology, chemistry and Russian language. What was very bad for me: I didn’t have enough time for volleyball? Let’s get back to our letter. Интересно было читать письма других участников, но самое интересное пробовать свои силы в области английского языка. Безусловно, на уроках у нас мало времени для, так скажем, « Разговоров » на иностранном языке, сейчас выпала такая возможность и я решила её не упускать. Участие в этом проекте помогло мне пополнить свой словарный запас и теперь мне не будет так сложно написать письмо на английском или сочинение. Моё предложение для организаторов конкурса состоит в том, что бы привлечь ещё больше людей для участия в этой олимпиаде. Это наверное единственное, что бы мне хотелось. Спасибо большое участникам. Communication with foreign people is very interesting and exiting. Thinks this project I can talk more and more confident and don’t afraid make some mistakes. I understand that a lot of children of my age are interested in foreign language. From all stages, I like more communication : discuses other letters, ask some questions, answer on questions of participants. It’s fantastical! I hadn’t any problems! Екатерина Смирнова: Смирнова Екатерина 10 класс школа № 45 город Норильск. Я очень рада принять участие в этом замечательном конкурсе , т.к. мне на следующий год предстоит здавать ЕГЭ , и это отличная подготовка к третьей части экзамена.Я научилась составлять по правилам грамматики сложные предложения,при чтении легко делаю переводы.Самая интересная часть этого конкурса - писать письмо иностранному другу,т.к ты ,не зная его интересов,и самого его, начинаешь строить общение.Выполняя этапы конкурса,я чувствовала на себе ответственность за свою любимую учительницу ,ведь это она учит нас тому , что мы сейчас умеем и даже больше.Очень не хочется подвести своего педагога.Трудностей было много.Во-первых,надо правильно составить предложения на английском языке ,во-вторых,придумать тему письма,найти адресата.Что-то добавлять я не решаюсь ,потому что все поставлено на высоком уровне !Могу только пожелать дальнейшего процветания конкурсу,и чтобы участников было больше , не боялись трудностей.Надеюсь на участие в следующем году!Спасибо за такой увлекательный и профессиональный конкурс!
Галкина Е.В: Галкина Елена 10 «А» класс, МБОУ «СОШ№45» г. Норильск Мой главный результат - это продвижение в освоении разговорного английского языка. Я поняла, что все, что кажется простым на первый взгляд, таковым не является, надо быть настойчивым, упорным и не бояться ошибиться, на ошибках ведь учатся. Наибольший интерес у меня вызвало написание самого письма, так как рассказать о себе незнакомому человеку, звезде узнать о ней, о ее планах это очень занимательно и интересно. Какие чувства я испытывала, когда выполняла задания конкурсов? Наверное, самые разные: удивление, радость, разочарование, восторг , изумление, восхищение и многие другие. Основные трудности – это, наверное, не очень хорошее владение разговорным и письменным английским языком. Как я их преодолевала? Во-первых, это работа со всевозможными справочниками, словарями, ну и, конечно же, обращалась к учителю английского языка в нашей школе. Какие замечания и предложения на будущее я бы сделала себе? Это терпение, упорство, настойчивость в изучении английского языка. Учителям? Ну не знаю.…У нас в школе английский язык, ведет очень хорошая учительница, ну а учителям в других школах желаю быть понимающими, увлекательно вести уроки с применением на уроках: презентаций, просмотров видеороликов на английском языке и т.д. I’ve never heard about such contests. It helped me not to be afraid to speak English with real people. And maybe some of us will find a foreign pen friend As for me I like the task "the hero of my letter". It was interesting to read, what heroes the participates would choose for their letters. Because I’m not a sociable person, the third task was the most difficult for me. But I’d like to see our results after every task. I can’t compare it with those in which I participated! The opportunity to improve English, the chance to communicate with native speakers and the other participants on the forum make a great impression on me. It was very cool! Посудневская Яна: Посудневская Яна 11 Г класс Нижневартовск Мне безумно понравилось участие в этом конкурсе! Я принимала участи впервые, и поэтому жутко волновалась, но это было в начале, а потом как-то втягиваешься в конкурс и уже с нетерпением ждешь нового задания. Мое главное достижение - это пожалуй, практика как английского языка, так и написания письма. Но не буду скрывать, были и трудности. Но сейчас уже практически по завершению конкурса, понимаю, что это были такие мелочи:) Самыми интересными заданиями для меня были Визитка и написание письма. Столько идей крутилось в голове и, я не знала на чем остановиться! Хотелось передать эмоции остальным участникам, поделиться с ними. Главное, что желание участвовать оставалось на протяжении всех этапов! Огромное спасибо Организаторам!!!!! Хочу пожелать, чтобы участниками конкурса становились как можно большее число учеников! Ведь собрание стольких интересных, творческих и позитивных людей на одной интернет-страничке, это здорово! Огромное спасибо и дальнейшего процветания, а главное новых идей!

Когда мне предложили учавствовать в конкурсе, я испугалась: писать кому-то , о чем-то, да еще и по- английски!!! но только начав писать первый этап " о себе", я поняла, как это здорово! За время конкурса я научилась правильно составлять предожния, быстро переводить текст, попонила свой словарный запас. Спасибо органзаторам этой олимпиады! Я уверена, что буду участвовать в этом конкурсе еще не один раз!

Анищенко Наташа: Анищенко Наталия, 11Б МОУ-СОШ №2 г. Асино Когда я узнала об этом конкурсе, я тут же заинтересовалась им. Возможность живого общения – это всегда непредсказуемо и потому интригующе. Это, пожалуй, и есть основная особенность данного конкурса. Также плюс в том, что все работы обсуждаются на форуме. Весьма полезно порой почитать чьи-то работы и понять, на каком уровне находится твоя. Конечно же, наибольшую сложность вызывал непосредственно сам процесс написания письма. Самым приятным было представление в своем воображении человека, с которым ты хочешь познакомиться, подружиться, рассказать ему что-то. Главные результаты заключаются в основательной работе со словарем, развитии фантазии и абстрактного мышления, практике в построении целостного рассказа. Ну и, конечно же, друзья. Может быть, те люди, которые откликнулись, только станут ими, но все-таки, искорка взаимного интереса уже успела зародиться и, надеюсь, что она не погаснет. В заключение хочется сказать большое спасибо организаторам данного конкурса тем, кто его проводил.
Анищенко Наташа: Dear Aly Hamouda, I can’t believe that I’ve found a pen friend! It’s wonderful to write the first letter to you, because it’s the moment when our communication begins. First of all I have to tell you about myself. I hate describing myself but without this information you won’t be able to understand me and my life. I’m an optimistic and positive dreamer. I hope everything will be wonderful. I know that our life isn’t ideal but I think it’s better to live in a fairy tale understanding reality, then in a horrible reality without any belief in miracles. What about music… it depends on my mood. In general, I like rock, punk-rock, new age, instrumental and classical music. And I cannot say I like all compositions of one band. I like different songs of different bands. As for instrumental music, I like guitar, flute and accordion. Also I like songs with the guitar especially around the fire… It’s so romantic! If you want, I’ll tell you about my interests and hobbies. I enjoy creation. I’m keen on drawing. About two years ago I finished art school with an excellent diploma. I enjoy drawing, but I need an inspiration and time to do something beautiful. Also I like to take photos. I can say, I’m an amateur, because now I’m learning by myself, but my friends say it is beautiful. It’s very pleasant to hear it. Another passion is making bracelets. It takes much time and patience, but result justifies my work. And giving it to somebody is the most wonderful thing. I enjoy presenting my friends and relatives with the things which I make myself. It’s so nice to see a smile on face of a man who is dear to me. I like reading classical literature, sometimes cooking, travelling and chatting with friends, but I cannot say I’m very talkative. I’m happy to write you. I think we shall be good friends. It’s wonderful to have an opportunity to communicate with person, living in another country. I’d like to have warm, positive emotions from our talking and give them to you too. I think we can help each other in difficult situation. And what about you, my dear friend? Калуги» Россия, Калуга Я считаю, что главное, чего я достигла,- это умение правильно, кратко и понятно формулировать свои мысли для письма на английском языке, выбирать основное и преподносить это интересно. Я поняла, что писать письма-это совсем несложно. Даже наоборот, интересно и занимательно. Ведь письмо-это мысли, изложенные на бумаге, четко продуманные и подобранные специально так, чтобы адресату было интересно читать, так, чтобы можно было легко представить то, о чем мы говорим. Я научилась правильно оформлять письмо на английском языке, правильно его подписывать . Также мне очень понравилось выбирать адресата, тем более, что можно было выбрать известного человека, возможно, своего кумира, которому очень многое хочется сказать, спросить о чем-либо, поблагодарить за творчество. К выполнению работы я постаралась отнестись ответственно, но я уверена, что могла бы что-то добавить к ней, если бы у меня было больше времени и возможностей. Узнав, что я могу написать своим любимым певцам, я сразу начала записывать вопросы, которых у меня накопилось немало. Это занятие меня очень увлекло. Всегда что-то идет на лад, если это по-настоящему нравится. В основном, трудностей при выполнении работы не возникло. Сложно было только найти адрес Фан-клуба самостоятельно, потому что в Интернете существует очень много так называемых «клонов». Но я надеюсь, что адрес, на который я отправила своё сообщение, окажется верным. Замечаний к учителям и организаторам конкурса у меня нет. На форуме всё было очень удобно и понятно. Возможно, я бы оформила форум, но это совсем необязательно. Хотелось бы поблагодарить всех, кто организовывал этот конкурс, всем, кто мне помогал справиться с работой, участникам форума, которые легко поддерживали любую тему. Надеюсь, что в дальнейшем таких конкурсов станет больше, также как и участников.

We are waiting for the results))) Мне конкурс понравился. Это было достаточно интересно. Я понял что писать письма не так уж и сложно, главное начать. Самое интересное это само письмо. Хочешь рассказать все больше и больше, и кто то над ухом постоянно мешает (свои вопросы дурацкие задает "А что это?") , и получается что написал меньше чем хотел. Мне было интересно рассказать о себе, но времени не было посмотреть что люди пишут. Это как приключение, если хотите, будто ты хочешь стать англичанином. Проблем почти не было, только иногда не мог с порывом эмоций и писал все подряд, а иногда в голове было пусто и не знал что делать. По мне конкурс хороший и замечаний нет (только к себе) да и предложить нечего, мне и так все понпавилось. Спасибо всем участникам за интересные письма и за ответы, которые я получил. И, конечно, большое спасибо Симагаевой Анне, которая так интересно писала и обещала помочь нам в переписке с ребятами из Американских школ. Thanks a lot, Anna![/
Risha: Reflection of our teacher Belikina Elena Victorovna: Dear participants of the project! First of all I want to thank you for the done work, and the work was not easy. I followed not only letters of my pupils, but also read all the others and I must say "Well done" to all the participants! This competition means a lot for me as a teacher, as well as the other projects of the center Eidos. Firstly: it is the big help in our work. Not all pupils can reveal at a lesson before the classmates. It is much easier here, probably because there is no fear of mistakes. I've learnt much about the pupils in their works. Secondly: Teamwork over the project makes us closer, (I mean teachers and students). And it is remarkable! And, at last, there is a possibility of creative work out of school, moreover -with competition elements! Thanks to organizers of the project! Waiting for the other interesting contests! P.S.
